Where you work and the type of service you work in, is up to you. There are jobs available across the sector so choose a work environment that suits you.

Long day care services provide education and care for children from birth to school age, including approved kindergarten programs, and generally operate week days for at least 10 hours per day.
Kindergarten services provide play-based education and care programs for up to 15 hours per week for 40 weeks of the year. These programs are delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher and are built around the strengths of the children.

Family day care offers children from birth to 12 years of age a safe education and care option in small groups of up to 7 children, traditionally in a home or family learning environment.
Children in selected Queensland communities can attend a State Delivered Kindergarten program at their local state school. These programs ensure all children have access to a kindergarten program in the year before school.

Outside school hours care services provide play and leisure-based programs for school-aged children before and after school, during school holidays and pupil free days.
