Achieving better outcomes for children requires a workforce that is qualified, skilled and valued. The
Workforce Action Plan 2016–2019 aims to enhance the capacity of Queensland's early childhood workforce through a number of initiatives.
2018 annual review
From April – May 2019 the Department of Education is undertaking consultation with stakeholders to inform a final review of initiatives under the Workforce Action Plan.
The review will explore the accessibility and effectiveness of initiatives offered under the Workforce Action Plan, identify on going and emerging workforce issues and consider key priorities that will support the Queensland Government and the ECEC sector to continue to build a strong, capable and stable workforce in the future.
The department is inviting the early childhood workforce to provide feedback on the Workforce Action Plan and its initiatives and provide insight on how the sector and the Queensland government can work together to support a qualified, skilled and valued early childhood workforce.
To provide input into the review, please follow the attached link to a
department survey. Responses to the survey are anonymous, no personal or identifying information will be collected.
