How to apply to become an approved kindergarten program provider and submit Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS) claims via QGrants.
Read about the requirements for providing an approved kindergarten program before lodging your application –
QKFS funding requirements (PDF, 4.1MB).
Step 1: Register for QGrants
Register for a QGrants login and account by registration guide (PDF, 1.1MB).
Once registered, you will be able to:
- create additional accounts
- manage your accounts
- approve access requests to your information
- make an application for approval as a kindergarten program provider.
Refer to the
QKFS overview fact sheet to understand why the department funds kindergarten learning programs, whether in a stand-alone kindergarten service or a long day care.
Step 2: Apply to become an approved kindergarten program provider
Once registered, read the
application guide for kindergarten services (PDF, 1.1MB) (Guide for QGrants Kindergarten Program Provider Application for Sessional Kindergartens) before applying to become an approved kindergarten program provider via QGrants.
It is important you read the before you start section because there are a number of documents you need to have ready before you start, including the program delivery template (DOCX, 586KB).
Step 3: Register a contact officer
Other contact officers can use QGrants on behalf of an authorised officer.
The contact officer must register a QGrants login (follow Step 1: Register for QGrants and use the 'Link to an existing organisation' functionality). The authorised owner must approve the contact officer's access via QGrants. Read
how to register a contact officer (PDF, 819KB).
