The Department of Education provides grants to both small local services and statewide organisations to deliver a range of Early Years Services (EYS) across the state. The Queensland Government funding is allocated to support services in rural, remote and high-growth communities, through 5 funding categories.
Early Years Services (EYS) grant funding has been restructured to align funding for similar purposes and to streamline performance and reporting requirements.
These changes do not impact kindergarten funding provided through the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme or the Kindergarten Inclusion Support Scheme.
Find out about each category's outcomes for children and parents, themes from the story behind the data and action plans.
Find the relevant category guidelines, periodic performance report (PPR) templates, case study examples, data collection examples, survey guide, and list of Early Years Services by category and region.
Access to the How-to guides related to applying for grant funding, managing your information and lodging a claim via QGrants.
Find out more about results-based accountability (RBA), population and performance accountability and useful RBA links and books.
Tip: You may find it useful to read the early years services glossary (DOCX, 1.1MB) to help you to understand the terminology we have used in the guidelines and other reporting documents.
