The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority is partnering with the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) to deliver the Targeting Quality Program to provide quality support for services rated Working Towards the National Quality Standard.
Purpose
Drive quality improvement through intensive support for early childhood services rated as Working Towards the National Quality Standard, particularly those run by small to medium providers, and services in vulnerable communities.
Provide targeted support to improve quality in a broader group of services not meeting, or considered to be at risk of not meeting, the National Quality Standard.
Support services that are regulated under the
Education and Care Services Act 2013 (ECS Act).
Participation
Participation in the program is by direct referral from the Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority using regulatory data to identify services requiring improvement in the quality of their practice.
Services with a national quality rating of Working Towards the National Quality Standard as well as other smaller services in need of quality support will be considered for participation.
ACECQA will invite referred services and approved providers to participate in the voluntary program.
Support
Participating services will benefit from free capability development and support provided by ACECQA with opportunities available for both group and individual learning, including:
- online interactive webinars
- mentoring with an ACECQA mentor
- face-to-face workshop and networking
- online eLearning modules
- ACECQA digital resource library
- facilitated communities of learners
- recorded videos and webinars.
