Starting Blocks
Search the Starting Blocks website to find a kindergarten, long day care, family day care and outside schools hours care (for school age children) in your area.
Use Starting Blocks to search for services captured under the National Law and National Quality Framework. You can search for:
- service locations and contact details
- service type
- quality ratings.
Tip: Please note that not all the services listed on the Starting Blocks website are Queensland Government-approved. We recommend families contact their local child care provider to clarify service offerings (including a kindergarten program) and vacancies.
Early Years Places
Search for an
Early Years Place near you.
Early Years Places offer families a range of early childhood activities and support in the one welcoming location. Early Years Places are captured under the Queensland legislation and will not appear in a Starting Blocks search. Each Early Years Place has a mix of programs including playgroup, early childhood education and care, health services, and family and parenting support.
National registers
Search for service locations, contact details and quality rating information on the National Registers database on the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority website. This register does not include Early Years Places.
