The Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (Regulatory Authority) regulates the early childhood education and care sector. This includes services operating under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Education and Care Services Act 2013 (QLD) (ECS Act).

The Regulatory Authority's responsibilities include:

  • making fair and unbiased decisions under the education and care legislation
  • upholding NQF and ECS Act principles and objectives
  • supporting education and care providers to meet legal requirements through information, advice, and regulatory action when needed.

The Regulatory Authority collaborates with stakeholders such as approved providers, peak bodies, and the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) to improve service quality and compliance.
