Early childhood education and care services must have policies and procedures in place that align with the Education and Care Services National Law or
Education and Care Services Act 2013 (ECS Act) requirements and support children’s safety, health and wellbeing.
Policies and procedures should outline the processes all staff employed by a service will follow and guide them to meet their legislative requirements.
Policies and procedures also help to inform families how the service operates.
