Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Yeah!

Yes!

Huh.

Ah!

Oh, hello, everyone.

Look at what Possum's doing.

I wonder what that is.

I've never seen him play this game before.

It must be new.

Hi, Sally.

Hi, everyone.

Hi, Possum.

Sally, I've started a new game.

Would you like to play?

I'd love to play!

But I do need to finish my knitting first.

A friend of mine has just had a new baby, so I'm knitting a lovely beanie for them.

Hm, knitting?

I've never seen that before.

What is it?

It's a special way to make clothes.

You need two knitting needles and some wool and you knit it all together.

Wool?

What's wool?

See this?

This is wool.

That's wool.

Hm.

It's a bit different to my string.

This one's hard and it's shiny and it's very strong but this one, it's soft.

It's not shiny and it looks like it could break.

Yes, that's right, Possum.

We can knit things like scarves and jumpers and they're lovely and soft and can be very warm.

Almost like your fur.

My fur?

Really?

Sally, where does wool come from?

Wool comes from sheep.

Out on a farm, sheep run around with lots of wool on them and then every year, the farmer shears the sheep and gets the wool.

Ooh!

Would you like to watch some children learning about wool?

Yes, please!

Oh, that was great!

Yeah, it was so good.

The sheep with all that thick wool on them and then the farmer shearing it all off.

They would become nice and cool, wouldn't they?

Wool is great for when it's cold.

It would make you nice and warm, if you put it on.

That's right.

But even if it's a little bit too hot, that wool can keep you cool because there's air inside.

Oh!

I see.

Sally, what does wool feel like?

Is it hard or soft?

I would love to touch some.

Mmm, I think I have some loose wool somewhere.

I think it might be in the kitchen.

Let's go and see if it's in there.

OK.

Whoa.

Yes!

Where did I put my wool?

It's been a long time since I've used it.

I'm going to go look for it.

OK, Possum?

Sally, while you're looking for it, I'm going to practice shearing sheep.

OK.

OK.

Come here, you.

All done!

Off you go.

You're cool now.

Bye!

Feel it, Possum.

Ooh!

It's a bit oily, isn't it?

Yeah.

That oil is called lanolin.

It coats the wool so the sheep don't get dirty.

The dirt just bounces off.

Or, if the sheep gets wet, the water just runs off and the wool stays dry.

Oh, yeah! Sally, watch this.

It's soft and look, it springs back.

Yes, that's right.

Sally, what are these?

They look like a comb.

Is that for your curly hair, Sally?

Oh, no, no, no, no!

Is it for combing the sheep?

Oh, you are funny!

Imagine combing a sheep!

No.

The farmer, after he has shorn all the sheep, the wool can sometimes be knotted.

So he puts it into the carders to get rid of all the knots and pull the fibres in one direction and then he can roll it to make it into wool.

Oh!

There are different ways to do it.

Some people have a spinning machine and they feed the wool through the spinning machine and that's how they make the wool.

Oh.

Sally, what's this?

I can see it's got wool but what is it?

It's a pompom.

Huh?

Do you remember, just before, I was knitting that beanie?

I'm putting the pompom on top of it.

Do you like that, Possum?

Yeah, I do.

Would you like to make one?

Yes!

I have the instructions on how to do that in the drawer.

Let's have a look.

OK.

I'll go and get the things we need, OK?

Great.

Right, we've got everything that we need.

Yep.

Let's have a look at the instructions to see how we start.

OK.

We need two round bits of card.

I'll cut out a shape that makes it look like this.

I cut these ones out previously.

We'll use them today.

We need two of them.

Great.

Now pop them down on the table, Possum.

Right.

Now, we need a small piece of wool, like this.

If you could please place that on the card, like this.

OK.

There's a piece of sticky tape.

There.

Great!

Now another one on the other side.

Good.

Great.

Now we need to fold the ends on themselves.

Now we get the other piece of card and pop it on top.

OK.

Hold it tight, don't let it move.

OK.

Now, we're going to get the yellow wool, and wrap it around the cardboard.

Would you like to try doing that?

Yes!

What we do is we cover all the white bits.

Done!

Great!

We'll use the green wool next.

Let's cut that and we'll do the same again.

Great.

Finished!

Just a little bit more.

OK.

Oh, that should be enough.

Let's cut that.

Right, now, hold it together and turn these bits out.

Good.

Right.

Now pull that, and the other side.

Great.

I'll hold it and can you please tie a knot in it?

Sure thing.

Right.

Now we need the scissors and we're going to cut it.

Look, Sally, it was flat but now it's opened up.

That's right.

Now make sure the knot is tight.

OK.

Oh, that looks lovely.

Look Sally, it's like a little ball.

Yes it is.

You've made your very first pompom.

Oh, wow!

Sally, I don't think I want to wear this on my head.

I'm going to add it to my new game.

Oh, that sounds great.

We really have learnt lots about wool today, haven't we?

And I have one more extra special thing.

I'm going to give you a treat.

What is it, Sally?

Well, I am going to cut your fur.

Argh!

No!

No, Possum, I'm only joking.

I was just teasing you.

Oh, Sally!

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

It looks so good!

It's fluffy.

Episode 4

From the advantage point of Possum's tree, he sees strange animals jumping in the bush. What are they? Possum tells Sally about these strange animals having big feet with small arms and a tail. Possum knows they don't look like him and asks Sally what she thinks. Sally teaches Possum all about our Australian animals.

Video transcript

Hello.

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello.

Hello, everyone.

Look!

Possum's up his tree.

All the way up the top.

He looks very excited about something.

I wonder what he's looking at.

Huh?

What?

Huh?

That's weird.

Boing, boing…

Hmm.

Wow!

Hi, Possum.

Huh?

Hello, Sally!

Hi, everyone!

Hi, Sally. Quick, come up here.

Have a look at this.

Come on!

You want ME to come UP?

You know I can't do that.

What are you looking at, Possum?

Um…well…

It's…it's an animal, but…

I'm coming down.

Whoa! That was so quick!

You really have a wonderful knack of getting down that tree quickly.

You really are very good at it.

Well, that's just the possum way.

We're very good climbers but I was looking at this animal over there.

It looks very odd and I can't do what they're doing.

What animal was it, Possum?

Um, I don't know.

They were jumping.

I feel I should know what they are but they live all the way out in the country and in the bush, but I live here, in my tree, and all these houses around.

Well, you know what possum, you are a bush animal too.

You just happen to live in your tree in my backyard.

Really, but they couldn't live in a tree?

They don't look like they can climb very well.

Well, you're not the same.

You're different because you're a very good climber, aren't you?

Oh, oh, oh and Sally!

They had really big feet!

Big feet?

Bigger than yours?

Yep.

And their arms were really small.

Big feet, small arms?

Did they have a tail?

Yeah.

Oh, I think I know what it is!

How were they moving, Possum?

Um, like this.

Jump, jump, jump.

Jump, jump… Ha!

Oh, Possum, I know what they are.

They're kangaroos.

Where are THEY from?

A different country?

No.

They're from Australia.

Just like you are.

Me?

I'm from Australia?

Yes!

There are many well-known Australian animals.

Really?

Yes.

There's the kangaroo, and koalas too.

They're the most famous Australian animals of all and then there's you.

Possums.

Me?

I'm famous?

Wow!

What other ones are there, Sally?

Well…

There's a wallaby.

It looks like a tiny little kangaroo and then the emu.

It's a very big bird.

Sally, I think I have seen an emu in my tree before.

Yep, I'm sure I have.

No, Possum! You can't have!

Emus are very big, but they have very small wings.

They can't fly!

Sally, I want to learn more about Australian animals, and I really want to learn more about how to jump, but before we do that, why don't we watch children learning some more about animals?

Shall we watch?

Yeah, let's watch!

Didn't that look like a lovely place?

Yeah, it did and I just thought, if I didn't live here, I'd definitely want to live there.

It looks so beautiful!

I'm so glad you live here, though, Possum and the kangaroos, they looked so good!

I loved it.

And they were doing this.

Boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing.

They were bouncing all over the place.

It's almost like they had springs.

Springs? What's that?

Hmm.

I have an old pogo stick.

Oh, here it is!

You see this?

It's a spring.

You put your feet above it, and it compacts, and then it springs back up and it makes you bounce.

Or there's something else.

Let me think.

Ooh!

I know – your slinky.

Can you get that for me?

OK.

Have a look at this.

It's another form of a spring, isn't it?

See how it springs open and closed?

Whoa!

Ooh…

Whoa!

Ah! Ha-ha!

There's all sorts of different springs.

Sally, I have an idea.

Look at me!

Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop!

Hop, hop, hop,

hop, hop!

Oh, Possum!

Watching you hop and jump about has given me an idea.

There's a game we could play called hopscotch.

What's hopscotch?

It's a game where we can make shapes and you can hop in and jump around in them.

It is so much fun.

You will LOVE it.

It's like when you're climbing your tree and you're always happy when you do that, hopscotch will do the same.

You'll instantly just have fun and smile.

Oh, wow!

Would you like to go and make a hopscotch game?

Yeah, come on!

Boing, boing.

Jump, jump, boing.

Ah!

Ooh!

Look!

Yes!

That says hopscotch, which is the name of the game.

Usually, we would draw it on bitumen or concrete, using chalk but we don't have anything like that here.

So, I'm trying to think of a different way we can make this diagram.

All we need to do is copy this and use things from around the yard.

Have you got anything we can use?

I have something!

Me too!

Hmm.

Uh-huh.

Oh…

Ooh! One more. Hmm.

I know.

Ooh!

There.

Oh!

I know!

Huh?

Oh!

There.

Put this there.

One there.

That one, that one, that one, that one…

Hmm.

There's one more thing.

The loop.

Yep, I've got something.

One, two, three… Mm-hm. Mm-hm.

Put this there, like that.

Yep.

Mm-hm.

All done.

That looks great!

Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop… Done.

Yeah!

Sally, how do we play?

I just have to get a few more things.

Hang on.

OK.

I wonder what she's getting.

Ooh!

This for me?

I'll show you first and then you copy me.

Now, you put this in here but you can't hop in there.

You have to hop over it.

Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop…

Oh…ah…ah… Oh!

Ooh!

Oh!

Ah!

Yay!

My turn!

Bounce, hop, hop, hop…

Ohhh…

Mmm… Jump!

Ha-ha!

Oh, that was great!

Your turn, quickly.

Now you have to put it in the second one.

Ohh…

And watch.

Yes!

Wow!

Here we go.

Ooh!

Whoa…

Whoa!

Oh!

Oh!

Yay!

My turn! Quick!

In the second one.

Right.

Hah!

Heh… Ha! Ooh! Ah!

La! Ha! Ooh! Ha!

Oh!

Jump.

That's great!

Your turn!

Oh!

Yay!

I missed it.

Oh, it's your turn.

Quick!

My turn.

Oh, good throw!

Whoa!

Oh!

Ha!

Whoa… Ha!

Ooh!

R… Ooh!

Jump, jump… Ah!

Yay!

Thank you so much for teaching me this game, Sally.

I've enjoyed it so much!

I feel like a real kangaroo.

Yes!

You look like one too!

Yeah!

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

Jump, hop, skip, bounce, spring, jump, bounce…

Episode 5

Possum's friend Jay brings a special surprise for Possum. What has Sally and Jay set up for him in the yard? Jay stays to have fun with Possum pretending they are classmates at school. Who will be the teacher?

Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Hmm-mm-mm.

Delicious!

Oh, look.

Hello, everyone.

Hi, everyone Possum, I've noticed you love eating this muesli, don't you?

Yes, I do.

I do love muesli.

But I love the table, and I love everything on it.

You're funny.

You love everything.

Yeah?

Well, have a look at the table.

Look how strong it is.

It doesn't wobble at all and the chair that I'm sitting on is very comfortable.

That doesn't wobble either.

I do like it.

Ah!

When you're sitting comfortably, that means you can eat all the food.

Yes!

Sally, I've had a thought.

I'm sitting here comfortably, and that makes me think happy thoughts.

Like when I'm sitting on top of my treehouse, I think very deep thoughts and feel good.

Hmm, yes.

I've learnt so much here and that's because you're my friend and my teacher too.

Oh!

What lovely thoughts, Possum.

The reason you've learned so much and you learn so well is because you feel good inside.

Yeah, that's right and you always say if you make a mistake or get it wrong, it doesn't matter because next time you'll learn from it.

That's right.

I think you've been thinking about going to school, haven't you, Possum?

Well, I have a surprise for you and it's about learning things at school.

You're right.

I have thought about going to school but what's the surprise?

Can you tell me?

The surprise is for you!

Oh!

Me?

But I can't tell you.

Sally, Sally.

You can tell me.

I won't tell anyone.

No, Possum.

I can't tell you because it would spoil the surprise.

Oh, well, you always give me such wonderful surprises and I'm hoping this one is a really good one.

Sally, can I take the tables and chairs outside?

I want to set them up like at school.

Oh, no, Possum.

You can't.

I need the table and chairs inside and if you go outside, you'll spoil the surprise.

Look!

Look!

Oh, no, no, no.

I think this might be the surprise.

Possum, I need you to clean up everything in here.

I'm going to go outside and make sure everything is ready and when it is, I'll come and get you, OK?

OK.

But…but…hmm.

Oh.

What's she doing out there?

I want to know what the surprise is!

Oh, well.

Oh, that looks great.

Oh, it all looks great.

Alright, I'll go and get Possum.

Oh, no, wait, wait, wait.

I think you should go and get Possum.

Oh, Jay! You're the surprise!

Oh…look!

Oh, wow!

What's this?

Have a look.

P-O-S-S-U-M.

Possum.

Possum, that's me!

Yes.

S-C-H-O-O-L.

School.

School!

Possum School.

This is Possum School?

This is my surprise?

Oh, it looks like a school.

How exciting!

Ooh, what's this?

H-A-T.

Hat.

Your hat goes on there.

B-A-G.

Your bag, it goes on there.

Lots of children, when they go to school, put their hats and bags on pegs like this.

This looks great!

Can I sit down?

Oh, yes.

Wow.

Sally, is anybody else coming?

Hmm, no.

Just you.

Who's going to be the teacher?

Can you be the teacher, Sally?

Me?

Oh, yes.

Yes, I can be the teacher.

I can try.

Oh, let me think.

Hmm.

What shall we do?

What shall we learn about?

Hmm.

Oh, hang on.

I need a chart that lists who's at school today, that shows their names.

That's what I need.

Like Jay's name tag.

You need something like that with your name on it.

Oh.

That's great.

Let's go over here.

"Who is at school today?"

Ooh, ooh!

I'm here.

Possum's here, Sally!

Hmm.

There's no-one in class.

Sally, I'm here.

Hm?

Oh!

I'm here!

Look, that's me and that's me.

Oh, you are both wonderful students.

That's great.

Have a seat.

OK.

Sally, I'm ready.

Is everyone ready?

Are we ready to learn?

Oh, hold on!

Hmm?

Ta-dah!

I'm ready!

Are you ready?

Come on.

Sit down.

Alright, are we ready?

Yep.

Is it snack time yet?

No, Possum, we will eat later.

Hmm.

Is it lunchtime?

No, we'll eat lunch much later.

Oh, I know!

Can you read a story, please, Sally?

Yes, I can read a story but before we do that, why don't we watch some children going to school and see what they learn and how they learn?

Let's watch.

Jay, let's watch!

'Thank you, Possum,' said the teacher.

'You were such a big help showing the children how to climb today.'

'Oh, thank you,' said Possum.

'I can't wait to see what we learn tomorrow.'

How was that for a story?

Thank you, Sally.

That was great!

I really enjoyed it.

Are we ready to go and sit back at the table?

Great.

Now I'd like you to both go into the garden.

You'll need your books and a pencil and I want you to find three things that grow.

Perhaps you could think about the way that different things grow and then, I want you to draw them in your books.

OK?

Right!

OK!

While you're doing that, I'm going to go inside to the kitchen and prepare some food, OK?

OK.

Jay, we have to draw three things that grow, OK?

Let's go!

Ah!

It grows!

Yeah!

Good one, Jay!

Good work, Jay!

Thanks.

Oh, that's lovely.

Such lovely pictures.

You've done such a good job.

Let me write the names in.

OK.

Tree!

Pot plant!

And now, tomato.

Tomato!

Oh, they're great!

Such lovely pictures.

I love the way you've drawn them too and you've shown different ways things can grow.

It's just beautiful.

Oh, it looks great.

Yeah, it does! Sally, school is fun, but it is hard work.

I'm ready for my snack now!

We have had such a great day at school today, haven't we?

We've had such a good time.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

Oh, great!

Let's eat!

Episode 6

Possum learns about weaving and helps get the table ready for a dinner guest. Sally shows Possum how to make place mats with paper. When the table is ready, everything looks good, but will Possum be the perfect waiter when Amanda arrives for dinner?

Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look.

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look.

Ah.

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello.

Hello.

Oh, look at my straight line.

Hello, everyone.

Watch me kicking my ball.

I've been practising.

I'm going to kick it this way, then that way, then this way, then that way – watch.

Hello, Sally.

Hi, Possum.

Hello, everyone.

Isn't Possum good at kicking his soccer ball?

Yes, I'm very good.

I was watching you weaving, Possum.

Weaving?

What's that?

Well, you were weaving when you were going left and right, left and right.

It can also be over and under over and under.

Weaving, is used to make clothes.

The threads are woven together to make cloth.

Do you think you've had enough practise yet, Possum?

I think so.

Well, I actually need your help in the kitchen.

Come on, let's go.

Wait, wait, wait, wait!

We can't go in yet.

We need to put all these things away first, because I have a person coming over for dinner tonight and I don't want them walking in here and tripping over.

Who's visiting?

It's a surprise.

OK!

OK, I've got everything.

Good.

Alright.

OK.

Ha, ha.

Ooh. Oh!

Hi, Sally.

Oh, it's looking good, isn't it?

I'm cooking some dinner.

Oh.

And as soon as that's done, I'll lay it out on the table, ready to be served out.

Well, there's plenty of room.

Yeah, but there's something missing, though, Possum.

What can we eat with?

Hm, I know.

Knives and forks and spoons.

That's right.

Can you get two please?

Two sets.

Two?

Huh?

One, two, three.

No, not three, just two.

OK.

Right.

Good.

Well, this dinner is to say thank you to a very special person that's helped me make a lot of things around the house.

Do you think it looks right yet, though, Possum?

Hm…

Oh, I know, we put the plates out, put the knives and forks and spoons.

We need to place them out neatly.

Oh, and we need the nice place mats.

That's right.

Yes we do, Possum.

You have thought that through very carefully!

I'll get the placemats!

Yes!

Can you get them for me?

Sally, they're not there.

They're not?

Oh!

That's right.

The woven place mats were dirty.

I didn't want my visitor to see dirty place mats, so I put them into the wash.

They're still there.

Oh, dear.

Sally, woven place mats.

That's like me earlier, when I was kicking the soccer ball, in and out, left and right.

You said I was weaving the way I was kicking it.

Yes.

That's given me an idea.

Why don't we make woven place mats with coloured paper?

Yeah!

Oh, hang on, before we do that, why don't we watch children weaving things?

Yeah, let's watch.

Oh!

That was great!

Wasn't that fantastic?

Sally, I saw them weaving over and under, over and under, over and under.

I could do that too.

Oh, yes, I'm sure you could, Possum.

I just love to see all the different materials being used.

Yeah.

Oh, it was lovely.

Oh, it was.

Why don't we make some weavings?

I've got some instructions on how to do it in the drawer.

There?

I'll get the box.

These are the instructions on how we're going to make our woven paper place mats.

Okay.

We need some paper and a few other things.

In there?

So, first we need to get our piece of paper and just fold it in half.

Not too firm, just fold it gently.

Yes, good, good.

Now, you hold it and we'll get the scissors and we'll cut some lines into it coming this way.

Not all the way, just stop before the end.

Then you do some wavy lines and then do another cut here and another cut here, not all the way to the end.

OK, Possum?

Be careful.

OK.

Oh!

Good.

Now open it up.

Wow!

Look at all the lines, Possum.

Yeah.

Right.

Now, if you can cut the red paper, just cut it into strips, just straight lines, just cut them.

OK, Possum?

OK.

I'll do the blue one.

Got it.

Done.

Right.

Now we need to weave the coloured ones through the black one.

Like this?

Yes, just like that.

You start.

Over, under.

Great!

Oh, it's all done.

Oh, it looks beautiful!

Hold it up!

Oh, doesn't that look lovely?

Possum, would you mind making a second one?

Oh yes and while you are doing that, I'll finish cooking the dinner.

OK.

Huh?

Uh…

Mm, done.

No, Possum.

Forks always go on the left, and knives are on the right.

Oh, OK.

All done.

That's great.

Sally, it looks beautiful.

Yes.

Sally, who is our special dinner guest?

I did tell you it was going to be a surprise, Possum.

They're here.

Can you please go and invite them in?

Oh, ok.

Sally, its Amanda!

Possum, you didn't invite her in, did you?

Oh, silly me.

Hi, Amanda.

Hello.

Oh, thank you.

Thank you.

Hi, everyone.

Hi, Sally.

Hello.

It's good to see you.

You look lovely.

Oh, thank you.

How are you?

I'm so excited.

I couldn't wait to see you both.

We have invited you here for a very special dinner.

We wanted to say thank you for all of the work that you've done around the house.

Oh, thank you for inviting me.

I'm always very happy to make things for you.

I enjoy it.

That's great.

Alright, well, dinner is ready.

Oh, it's ready.

Why don't we sit down?

Oh, wow!

OK.

Hold on, Sally.

There's one, two plates.

For us two.

What are you going to do, sit and watch?

No, Possum.

The dinner is for Amanda and me.

You will be eating later.

Aw but I have a very special job for you.

I would like you to be the waiter, because we would really like to show our gratitude to Amanda.

Thank you so much.

I'm excited.

Are you ready?

Sally, some pepper?

Oh, yes please, just a little bit.

Right.

That's enough.

Amanda, pepper?

Ah, yes, must have pepper.

I love pepper.

Thank you.

Hey, what?

Oh.

Never mind.

I should make sure they taste alright first.

Oh, thank you.

Oh, hang on.

There's two on this plate.

I know.

Yum-yum-yum…

There you are.

Thank you.

That looks lovely.

Sally, would you like some pepper?

Oh, yes, please.

Thank you.

That's enough, thanks.

Amanda?

Ah, yes, please.

I love pepper.

Thank you.

I'll have to come back.

Right-o, you're done.

Very good, very good.

Possum, wait, I haven't finished yet.

For dessert.

Oh, thank you.

Yes, just one please.

Thank you.

I know.

Watch this.

No, no, no!

No, you don't put pepper on dessert.

No.

No, no, no, no!

Not on my dessert.

It's perfect the way it is.

Thank you.

Ah, OK.

It's delicious.

Great.

Another?

Oh, no, one's enough for me, thank you.

I will be full.

It was delicious, though.

Thank you very much for this.

Oh, and I love the place mats too.

They look great.

I've never seen them before.

That's because Possum made them earlier today.

Oh, well done, Possum.

He just weaved them out of some coloured paper.

Good job.

Looks wonderful.

He should make some more.

Oh, yes, I will.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Oh… Yum-yum-yum…!

Eat it before he takes it away, Amanda.

Episode 7

Do eggs grow on trees like apples? Do you dig them up like potatoes? Sally explains that they come from chickens, but Possum wonders what comes first, the chicken or the egg? Sally shows Possum how to make a wonderful savoury omelette.

Video transcript

Hello!

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Hmm.

Wasn't that a delicious breakfast?

Oh, hello, everyone.

Hi, everyone!

Possum, are you still hungry?

Yes, of course, I am, Sally.

I'm always hungry.

You should know that!

Yes, I've only had a little bit and that filled me up.

Possum needs a lot of food to fill him up.

I was just thinking what I might have in the kitchen for you.

Oh, some eggs!

Yeah!

I could perhaps make you some scrambled eggs or an omelette.

Sally, I know what eggs are but what's scrambled eggs?

Hmm, right.

Let's leave the scrambled eggs for a moment.

Think about all the different eggs we've had.

I've cooked them in all sorts of different ways, haven't I?

We've had boiled eggs.

Do you remember that?

Yes, I know.

You get hot water.

You boil it, and then you get the egg and you put it in.

That's right, Possum and do you remember the fried eggs that we've had?

Yes, yes.

You get the hot pan.

Yes.

You get an egg.

You crack it.

Put it in.

Then you fry it.

It becomes white and orange.

That's a fried egg.

That's right, Possum.

I've used eggs in all sorts of different cooking, haven't I?

We use it as a binding agent, almost like glue and it makes the food taste extra yummy.

Oh, Sally!

Could you tell me more about the scrambled eggs?

Right.

Well, we still heat a pan but in a bowl, we'll break our eggs.

We can add a dollop of water, or milk or cream and then we mix it all together to make a frothy mixture, then we put that into the pan and cook it.

Oh, yeah!

That frothy mixture is orange and white and it becomes one colour!

Yes, you're right.

The orange and white mix together to become a yellow colour.

Yeah, yellow!

Why don't we go inside and cook some eggs?

Oh, yeah, let's go!

Can you get the eggs out of the fridge, please?

OK!

Sally…

Hmm?

Sally, where do eggs come from?

Do they grow on trees like oranges and lemons?

Hmm.

Or maybe they're like potatoes and grow under the ground.

Uh, no, that's different.

Where do they come from?

Right.

I will tell you about them but, as you know, all sorts of different animals have different ways to produce babies.

Animals, like you, Possum, give birth to live babies.

Other animals, like hens and chickens, lay eggs.

So the hen will sit and lay an egg.

Some of the eggs they lay can be eaten and some of the other eggs have little baby chickens in them that grow and grow inside the shell and when they're ready to come out.

They use their little beak to peck open the shell and out comes a little baby chicken.

So if we have the chicken first, they lay an egg second, that works but then if the egg's first, it hatches into a chicken second.

I'm confused.

Which comes first?

I know, Possum.

You're not the only one that's confused.

Lots of people in the world ponder that exact question.

Which did come first, the chicken or the egg?

Sally, I love eggs.

I love looking at them, eating them, thinking about them but could you tell me more about eggs?

Well, why don't we watch some children learning all about chickens and eggs?

Let's watch.

Yeah, let's watch!

Oh, didn't those hens look wonderful running around?

Yeah, they were so funny.

Watch me, Sally!

Sally, some of the children said their eggs were warm but these eggs, they're cold.

You got them from the fridge?

Did you get these eggs from the farm?

No, I didn't go to the farm.

I got these from the shop.

I know some people have their own hens in their own backyards and they use those but farms have lots and lots of hens running around.

They're called free range chickens.

Let's see if these ones are.

Yes, it says free range.

That means there are no cages for those chickens and hens.

The eggs that get laid then get taken to the shops.

I go to the shops and buy them and here they are.

Sally, looking at these eggs has given me an idea.

Oh, I wonder what it could be?

You're thinking about eating them, aren't you, Possum?

Yes, I am!

Well, why don't we make a savoury omelette?

What does savoury mean?

Well, savoury means that it's not a sweet food but it's still very tasty.

You'll really enjoy it because it's got herbs and spices in it.

Oh, that's great and we can just use things from the fridge.

Will you get the recipe out and I'll see what I've got in the fridge to put on our omelette.

OK!

Yes, this is the recipe.

It explains to us how to make it.

Savoury.

Yes!

That's right.

It's a savoury omelette.

Now we need to make the filling before we can go any further.

We need some onion, capsicum, mushrooms and cheese.

I'll chop up these three.

Can you please grate the cheese?

OK!

Great.

Look, I've done it!

Great! Now can you please get two eggs?

What you need to do is break the egg, but be careful because we don't want any shells in the bowl.

So be careful.

Right.

Look, Sally!

That's great.

That's all ready.

Now we just need a little bit of water.

OK!

That's enough!

Yep.

Right.

Now can you please whisk it into a foamy mixture?

Right!

Oooh, ah!

That looks ready.

Right.

Now we're going to go over to the pan.

Ready?

Let's go.

Alright!

First, we need to heat the pan and then we'll put some butter in.

Ooh!

We'll just let that cook for a while, make it nice and soft.

That's to make the filling.

Once that's all nice and soft, we'll put it in this bowl.

OK!

You watching?

Yep!

You see it bubbling away?

That means it's cooking on the underside.

When it stops bubbling, we'll know it's ready.

OK?

OK!

Just a little sprinkle.

Ooh!

It's still a bit liquid.

We'll just wait a bit longer.

Alright.

I'm going to put the vegetables just on this half.

Ready?

Can you dish them out?

Me?

OK!

Just a little bit.

Not all of it.

I'm now going to fold it over.

You ready?

Yes!

Look at that.

That looks delicious!

It looks ready.

It's ready!

Oh!

Ahhh!

It smells great, doesn't it, Possum?

Now it just needs a bit of parsley as garnish.

Ooh.

Ah!

Makes it taste nice.

Mmm.

Yum-yum-yum.

Mm-mm-mm.

It's delicious!

Thank you so much and now, I know a lot more about eggs!

That's great, Possum.

Sally, do you want these eggs?

Yes, I'd like to make one for myself.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching!

See you next time!

Bye!

Bye!

Right!

Episode 8

Uh oh! Possum breaks one of Sally's plates and is worried she will be angry. He tries to put it back together. Sally thinks that it looks a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. What will that lead to?

Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Ah. Oh, oh, oh.

Yes.

Whoa.

Ready?

Ooh!

Ah, there it is.

Oh. Oh.

Oh!

It's raining.

Oh, no!

Oh!

Oh, quick!

Oh, quickly, quickly.

Quick.

Coming.

Mmm.

Hello, everyone.

Hi, everyone.

We've just been eating a delicious lunch.

Sally, it's still raining outside.

Don't worry, Possum.

There's plenty of things we can do inside that are fun.

Oh, yeah.

I could eat more of your lunch.

Oh, you are funny, Possum.

Well, I'm going to go and clean up.

OK.

Num-num.

Oh…

Mm-hm.

Right.

Look.

Ooh..

Hm. Um…

Possum?

Excuse me, Possum.

What's happened?

What?

Nothing.

Nothing's wrong.

Nothing, nothing.

Did you break…

Did you break one of my plates?

I did, Sally.

Don't worry, Possum.

We've all broken a plate before, but, Sally, it jumped off the table all by itself.

I'm such a bad possum.

No, you're not a bad possum.

You're a good possum.

Accidents happen.

If an accident does happen, all you need to do is say sorry and we can move on.

Oh, I'm very, very, very, very, very sorry.

I'll try fixing it.

Uh… Uh…

Uh… Ah.

If you do manage to get it all together, how are you going to make it hold together?

Hmm…

I know – really strong glue!

Well, you could, but I don't think that would be possible, Possum.

There are just too many pieces, It looks just like a jigsaw puzzle.

Can you please get the dustpan and brush?

We'll put it in the rubbish.

OK.

And don't worry, Possum.

I have plenty of plates.

Phew.

Hmm.

What should we do now?

Hm, it's still raining outside.

I can't hang the washing out.

Sally, you talked about a jigsaw puzzle before.

Is that a game we can play?

Oh, Possum, what a great idea.

It is a lot of fun and I haven't done a jigsaw in a long time.

Let me think where I put mine.

OK.

Wow.

Sally, look!

It's a caterpillar.

Yes, it is, Possum.

It's disappeared!

Where'd it go?

Do you remember what the caterpillar looked like?

Try and recreate it.

Look, it's a perfect fit.

Hold on.

Look, it's the caterpillar again!

Isn't that lovely?

Ah.

It's a fish.

Look.

Ooh…

Look, it's the fish!

It's all finished.

Well done.

When I was young, I loved playing with these jigsaws.

There are other puzzles, too, but they're a bit harder.

They're all different shapes.

The hard ones have little tabs and the other pieces have little holes and the tabs go into the hole.

It's a bit different.

Did you make all of these, Sally?

No.

A long time ago, they were given to me as a present but we could make our own jigsaw puzzle if you like.

We can't make the harder ones because you need a special tool to cut the pieces but what we can do is make a jigsaw puzzle out of a picture or a photo.

Can we watch some children and see how its made?

Yes.

Let's watch the children.

They have a stencil, but they don't have a picture yet.

Let's wait and see what they do.

Yeah, let's watch!

Didn't that look fantastic, the way they made those pictures into jigsaws?

Yes, it did.

I would love to do those sorts of puzzles today.

Unfortunately, we can't.

We'll do it another time but those children were so clever.

See all the shapes they had?

They picked out all the edges first, though, made the edge, and then filled in all the middle pieces.

You're right – they were clever.

They just tipped it all out, mixed it all up, and then were able to make a picture again.

Yes!

Why don't we find a picture that we like and we can cut that into different shapes and make a jigsaw puzzle?

I know.

Why don't I break a different plate?

You're funny, Possum.

Sally, I really am sorry I broke that plate.

Oh, it's fine, Possum.

I've just had a thought.

We have a nice photo taken of us.

I've actually got two copies of it.

We can use one of those copies as our jigsaw puzzle.

Oh, what a great idea!

Why don't you get the photo and I'll get the scissors, OK?

OK.

Ooh.

Wow.

We only need one, so I'll put the other one back.

Good.

It's a lovely photo, isn't it?

What's the paper for?

Sally, I didn't want to cut all messy, so I thought if I drew the lines on, it'd make it tidy.

What a fantastic idea!

Are you ready?

That's a lovely triangle, Possum.

Can we have some squares in there, maybe?

Hmm.

Ah, look at all the different shapes.

They look great.

Let's pop it on here.

See how it moves, Possum?

What I'll do is I'll get some clips.

Oh, yeah!

Right.

Shall we cut?

Oh, yes.

Ready?

It's all jumbled up.

Let's see if we can make the picture.

Oh, look.

You cut your head in half.

Look!

Right.

Ah…

That's a shoulder and an arm.

Yeah look.

Look, someone's lips.

Oh, I was wrong.

It's finished!

Ta-da!

Yes, before it was all jumbled up and now we've remade the picture.

It's a lovely picture of the two of us.

Possum, the rain has finally stopped.

I need to go outside and hang my washing and I need to play soccer, too.

Oh, well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

Whoosh!

Episode 9

This is the tallest Possum we know. Why does he want to be taller and why does Sally think that Amanda may have a special way of helping him?

Video transcript

Hello.

Huh?

Look.

Oh!

Hm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Where are the scissors and string?

Uh… Oh!

Aww.

Oh, hello everyone!

I'm going to need Possum's help.

I can't reach all the way up there.

Good morning, Possum.

Hi, Sally. Good morning!

Hi, everyone!

Sally, what are you doing?

Oh, I'm just cleaning up the kitchen.

Oh, OK.

Can you see that string and scissors up there, Possum?

I can't reach, they're too high up.

Can you help me, please?

Oh, you're short.

You're lucky I'm so tall.

This will be easy.

Watch me.

Huh?

I can't reach them!

I'm too short.

Oh, Possum.

You really are tall but this just happens to be taller.

No, I'm too short.

I really want to help, but I can't!

I'm so sorry.

Is there any way I can get taller?

Oh, Possum.

Out of all the possums, you are definitely the tallest of them all.

I don't think that you can get much taller.

Hm. Sally…

Yesterday, you gave me more toast and I didn't want it.

I should've eaten it!

That would've helped me to grow taller.

Mm, no.

It doesn't happen that way, Possum.

Sally!

I know.

What if I ate long foods?

That would help me get taller!

Yeah!

Like the banana!

If I eat a long banana, that will help me grow taller!

Or…maybe some green beans!

They're long.

That'll do!

Well, Possum, you really are very tall already.

You wouldn't want to get much taller.

If you did get too tall, how would you get through the door?

Ah, you're right.

I would have to duck under the doorframe and how would you get into the treehouse?

Mm, I wouldn't be able to.

There are things that are up high that we can't reach.

We have to think of different ways to get them down.

Oh, I've got an idea!

I know, I'm going to stretch.

OK…

Ah!

Yep.

Alright, Sally!

I'm feeling good.

I feel a little bit taller!

I'm going to try again.

Huh?

Sally! They've

How did they get from up there to the table?

While you were stretching Possum, I flapped my arms and I managed to start to fly and I flew all the way up, grabbed them and put them on the table.

Sally, you can't fly.

I know, Possum.

I'm joking!

What I did do, though, was I got on some stilts.

I walked over, grabbed them and put them onto the table.

Huh?

I don't know if you're joking or if you're serious, Sally.

What are stilts?

Well, stilts are long pieces of wood with little blocks in them.

You step on the blocks and it makes you taller and you can walk along on them.

It's good fun.

Hey, Possum, why don't we watch some children playing, and walking on stilts?

Do you want to watch?

Yeah, let's watch!

Oh!

That looked like so much fun, Sally.

I want to do that!

I want to walk on stilts.

Well, Amanda is coming for a visit today.

I'll ask her to bring some wood with her and we can make some stilts for you.

Would you like that?

Yes, please!

I'm going to go out the back and practice my balancing.

OK?

Oh, Possum.

What is it, Possum?

Sally, can you tell me, honestly, how the scissors and the string got down?

Have a look over there, Possum.

See that little stepladder?

I used that to get them down.

Oh, right.

OK, bye!

Ooh… Ooh!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Ooh. Ah!

Whoa, whoa.

Oh, oh, oh.

Oh, Ah!

Ooh!

Hi, Sally!

Hi, Possum.

Hey, Possum?

Look at my hair.

It's only a little bit curly.

I wish I had curlier hair.

I wonder if there were some foods that I could eat to make my hair curlier.

Sally, your hair looks beautiful just the way it is.

You don't need it any curlier.

Hm.

Just like earlier, Possum.

You said you wanted to be taller.

Well, I think you are just the right height.

Ah, I see what you mean, Sally.

I'm just the perfect height.

I don't need to get any taller.

That's right.

Oh, look!

Here comes Amanda.

Hello!

Hello!

Hi, Amanda!

Amanda, have you brought the stuff to make the stilts?

Yes, I have.

I've brought my wood and my toolbox!

The stilts are very easy to make.

Would you like to help me?

Oh, would I?

Right.

Now, we need to take everything out of the toolbox.

We need the wood and the saw…

Right.

and the tape measure

Yep.

and the square

OK.

and one more thing.

A pencil!

Here it is!

Great!

Now, to start, we need to cut the bits of wood for the footholds!

OK.

Oh, wow!

Ooh…

Oh yay!

Alright.

How much taller do you want to be, Possum?

Hm?

Well, I'm this tall now and maybe…I want…this much taller.

Ah.

That's about 40.

We now need to drill some holes in each piece of wood, OK?

OK!

Great job.

Oh, look!

You can see straight through.

One more.

Finished!

You can look straight through the holes.

Good.

Thank you!

Thanks.

These bolts will go through the holes and will be held on with wing nuts.

Ooh!

Yay!

They look great!

Would you like to try them out now Possum?

Do I?

Unfortunately, I have to go.

I have another job to go to.

I have to pack up now, OK?

OK.

Thank you, Possum.

Thank you very much.

Have fun.

Bye!

Bye, Amanda!

Bye!

Bye!

Bye!

Bye!

Would you like to try them now Possum?

Yes!

Over here.

Right.

Ooh…

And…

Ah!

Ooh.

Again.

Again.

Oh, oh, oh!

Ah, that's great, Possum!

Keep coming!

Ah, that was great!

Uh…Possum, can I have a try?

You?

Sally, don't be silly.

You can't do that, it's just too hard.

What's she thinking?

Huh?

Oh!

Wow!

That's amazing.

Whoa, look!

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

Sally, do it again.

Show me!

Episode 10

Sally prefers to grow her own carrots when she can. She decides to plant some carrots in her garden and Possum comes to help, but what are these? The smallest carrots in the world!

Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Oh, hello, Possum.

Hi, Sally.

Hi, everyone.

Hello, everyone!

I'm off to go play some soccer but what's Sally got in her basket?

It's such a lovely cool day today, I thought I'd go get the vegetables from the garden.

I'm going to go inside and make a salad.

Oh, I love salad!

I love lettuce, carrots, cucumbers…

Um, radishes.

Hmm, yeah!

Well, we can put all of those things in a salad but there are other things we can put in there too to make it more interesting.

Hmm.

Hmm?

Sally, where's the carrots?

Do you remember recently?

We pulled all our carrots up.

So there's no more left in the garden but don't worry.

I went to the shop and bought some.

I've got them inside already but I do like to grow my own.

Hmm. Sally, why don't we plant some more carrots?

Possum that is a great idea!

Why don't we do that?

It's still a very cool day.

If we could have a look to make sure the soil is ready for the carrots to be planted, I'll go inside and get the things we need to plant them, ok?

Well, Sally, what tool do I use?

A hoe?

A shovel?

I just don't know.

Oh, what do you think?

I had a look yesterday to make sure that there were no weeds and I've dug up most of the soil but there are still a few lumps in there that we need to break down.

What should we use?

Hmm.

Oh, I know!

A cultivator.

That's right, Possum.

Good thinking.

A cultivator.

Why don't you do that and I'll go inside.

OK.

Doot-doot-doot-do.

Doot-ta-doot-doot-doot-do.

You have done such a good job preparing the soil, Possum.

Mm-hmm.

There used to be lots of lumps in there but now they're all gone.

It's ready to plant the carrots.

Ah, Sally, should we put some fertiliser down?

No, if we put too much fertiliser, the carrots growing under the ground will split.

OK?

OK.

Right.

We're going to make two grooves.

Mm-hmm.

Oh!

Ah!

Good.

Now I've got the carrots.

Right.

Huh?

These are the carrots?

Yes, they're the carrots we're going to plant.

Huh?

Huh?

These are the smallest carrots in the world!

Yes, it is a carrot.

Well, it's a carrot seed, actually.

So, the carrots grow underneath the ground and we can either pull them up to eat them or we can leave them there until they grow stems and on those stems, flowers will grow and those flowers will turn into seeds.

So, last year, I harvested all the seeds from the flowers.

We can put them in here.

I thought we were going to get a small carrot, put it in the ground and let it grow into a big carrot.

No.

Some vegetables do that but carrots don't.

They grow from seeds.

Can you please put them into the grooves?

OK.

One.

Two.

Possum…

Three.

Hold on.

Possum, no, no, no, no!

That will take a very long time to do, if you put them in individually.

You're better off sprinkling them into the grooves.

Ah, ok!

Yeah, that's good.

That's really good, Possum.

Now we need to cover them up.

Oh, OK!

Great! Ooh!

Great.

Now we need to water them.

Alright!

Carefully.

There, all done now.

All done?

Does that mean we can go inside, make the salad and once we're finished, the carrots will be ready?

No!

We won't be able to do that, Possum.

Carrots take a long time to grow.

About six weeks.

Sally, I knew that.

I was only joking.

Oh, you're teasing me.

Oh, you're funny, Possum.

OK!

Let's go make the salad!

Oh, but before we do that, why don't we watch children learning about gardens and growing vegetables?

Yeah, let's watch!

Oh, that looked like lots of fun!

Those children learned so much about growing things and I thought that these were the smallest carrots in the world but they're just the seeds!

Why don't we go inside and make our salad?

Yeah! Let's go!

I've got plenty of foods for our salad.

I've washed all of them.

Can you help me by chopping the lettuce, please?

OK.

Sally, does lettuce have seeds?

Well, these lettuce don't but if we were to leave it out in the yard, it would become a bit old.

And then, from that, a flower would sprout, and that's where the seeds come from.

Ah, great!

Possum, look.

This is a seed.

It's a very big one, isn't it?

Wow!

Cool.

Sally, what next?

Can you please halve the tomatoes?

Four or five of them.

OK!

Now, what colour capsicum would you like?

I want yellow.

What's next?

Hmm.

I might chop the cucumber.

OK!

You can see all the little seeds.

They're very soft, so you can eat those ones.

Sally, what now?

Look at these.

They're pumpkin seeds.

You can eat these ones.

Oh.

Sally, that's funny.

Before we planted some seeds and now we can eat them.

Yes, we can eat some seeds and some we can't.

Sally, can I put some in the salad?

Yes, of course you can.

Can you please pass the olives?

Sally, what about the cheese?

Oh, yes, that's right.

You can do the cheese.

That's the feta.

Great!

Oh, the carrots.

We can put carrots in the salad too.

How would you like to do that?

Well, there's different ways we could.

We could boil them, steam them, put them in the oven, or we could have them raw!

Ah, I know!

We could grate them!

Oh, that's a great idea.

It needs to be peeled.

Right.

That looks great, doesn't it?

All we need to do now is toss it all together.

OK!

This looks great, but I'm thinking there's one more thing missing.

Some dressing.

That's looking good, Possum.

It looks ready.

Can you get the bowls?

Looks ready to eat.

Ah, um!

Um-num-num-num!

Hmm. Hmm.

Hmm!

It's delicious!

Sally, why don't we quickly eat it and go check and see if the carrots are ready?

Oh, you are a funny possum!

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching!

See you next time!

Bye!

Bye!

Episode 11

A football keeps coming over the fence and it's not like Possum's soccer ball. What will Possum learn about sports balls and who is making this ball appear again and again?

Video transcript

Hello!

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Ha-ha!

Whoa!

Ha-ha, yes!

Oh, hello, everyone!

I'm practicing playing soccer, kicking the ball around.

I love playing soccer.

Ha-ha!

Oh, yep.

What?

Huh?

What's this?

Where did this come from?

It's different to mine.

Hmm, mine's round and black and white.

This one's an oval shape and it's red.

It's not mine.

I don't like it.

Ha-ha, yes!

Wah, oh.

Ho-ho. Oh!

Huh?

What?

Oh!

Ah!

Ha-ha-ha!

Yeah!

Huh?

What?

Hi, Sally.

Hi, Possum.

Hi, everyone.

Possum where did that come from?

I don't know.

I was just playing soccer, kicking my ball and it just landed here.

I threw it back, it came back again.

I threw it back again and then it came back!

I think this ball likes me.

I think there might be someone over there that likes you.

They might want to play with you.

Huh?

You think, really?

I believe so.

Hmm.

Ah, hmm.

Sally, I waited, but no one came.

Sally, this ball's different.

Look, it's oval, and then, look, it's…it's round.

Hmm, what about your ball, Possum?

Hmm.

Its round, round, round and round.

Its round all over!

That's right, it is round but it's not a flat circle.

It's a three-dimensional shape called a sphere.

Oh, let's have a look!

Hmm.

Look, Sally, it's round, and then it's oval.

Hmm.

Possum, you are looking at the two different shapes and comparing them.

Comparing?

Can we compare colour, as well?

Oh, yes, of course.

Hmm.

My one's black and white, but that's red!

Ha-ha!

You seem quite excited by that.

Yeah.

Would you like to make a chart comparing all different types of balls?

Yes, please!

We can also compare them to see if they are the same, or they're different.

Well, I'll go inside and get some paper.

I'll take this ball with me, and why don't you go and get some of your other balls.

Oh, yeah, OK!

Great!

Right, now that one, which one is it?

That one!

And this one?

My golf ball!

Great.

Now, this one, that's your new ball, isn't it?

Yep, that's my new one.

And this one?

My soccer ball.

Right, and that one?

My cricket ball.

Ha-ha!

Great!

Now, how should we compare them?

Hmm.

Hmm.

I know!

Size!

Great idea!

Ha-ha.

Great, now that one.

Hmm, oh, it's very big.

That's right, it's very big.

Yes, it's very big.

That's "very" and that's "big."

Great, OK.

Great.

Yep.

Now, the next one.

That one.

Oh, it's very small.

That's right!

That one.

Oh, it's very small.

That's right!

"Very"…ah, there it is.

"Small," S.

  1. Hmm, there it is!

Right, now that one.

Oh, it's big.

Yes, it's big.

There it is!

Ah, it's big too.

Yes.

Hmm, cricket ball.

It's small.

Yeah, oh, it's small.

Hmm, "small," there it is!

That's right.

Well done!

Great!

Now, we've compared the sizes.

What else should we compare?

Hmm… Colour!

Yes, colour, good idea.

Yep!

That one is green and with white dots.

That's right, two colours.

Green…

There it is!

And white.

Great.

Great, what's next?

That one is white.

White.

Easy.

That one is red.

That's right.

R.

Hmm, there it is!

That one.

That one, what colour's that one?

Black and white.

That's right.

"Black" starts with B.

B…there it is!

White, same as that one.

There it is!

Yep!

Great, now there's one more.

Ah, that one's red!

Great.

You've put a lot of thought into that, haven't you?

Yep!

Now, how shall we compare them?

Hmm.

I know, feel!

Feel.

Yep, that one!

Right.

Now, that…

That's soft.

"Soft" starts with an S.

S…there it is!

That's right.

Now, that one.

Hmm, oh, that's hard.

Yes, it is hard.

This one?

Yes, you're right.

Hmm.

Now, the new one.

That's soft.

Yes, it's soft.

Great.

Now, that one.

Ah, that's easy.

It's soft.

Soft, good.

Right, one more.

One more.

Oh, that's hard.

Yes, it's hard.

Look, it's the last one!

That's great work, Possum, making your chart.

You've done some great comparing.

Yeah!

Sally, no-one's come to get the ball yet.

I'm going to go throw it over the fence again, OK?

Alright, off you go.

Bye!

Bye.

Right, yep.

It's looking all good.

Great!

Good.

Oh, look!

Sally, its Jay!

Yes.

Hello, you're here and he's got the new ball!

Sally, it's his!

Yes!

Oh, would you like to play with Jay?

Yeah!

Look, Jay.

Yes, he's having a look at your chart.

Huh?

What's he doing?

Hmm.

Oh.

Hmm.

What's that?

What does he mean, Sally?

"Use".

How we use the ball.

Why don't we watch some children, and how they use different types of balls?

Yeah Jay, let's watch!

Oh, that was great!

Yes, it was.

I know what to do.

Right, this one, we use our hands and this one, a golf club!

Great.

And this one, our feet!

And our hands!

Oh, two.

Mm-hmm.

Great.

Oh, I know.

We use our head and our feet.

Ha-ha!

That one.

Ha, there!

Oh, that's great.

Oh!

I know, a cricket bat.

A cricket bat, that's right.

Oh, yeah, we're finished!

That's great!

Well done, Possum.

Oh, Sally, I've had such a great day learning about different types of balls.

Oh, that's great.

Why don't you two play with the ball out here in the yard and I'll go inside and make us some food, OK?

OK, Jay, let's kick your ball around.

Ready?

Ha!

Oh, great job.

Oh, ha-ha!

Catch it, yeah!

Oh, ha-ha!

It looks delicious.

Sally, I've had such a great day today, but I need to eat now.

Ha-ha!

Oh, hold this.

OK.

Every time Jay comes here, we have such a good time, don't we?

Yep.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching!

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye!

Mmm.

Oh, have some, Jay.

Oh, mm, it's delicious.

Episode 12

Hmm. What will Possum choose for breakfast today? Sally says that he can't have everything and that he should try to be better at deciding what he wants. She suggests they make a menu to help him choose, but when Possum learns about menus, he has another way of using that idea.

Video transcript

Hello.

Huh?

Look.

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow.

Huh?

Look.

Ah.

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello.

Hello.

Oh, hello, everyone.

Look at the variety of foods I've got here for breakfast.

It's looking good.

I know Possum will be here soon.

I'm going to let him decide which food he'd like for breakfast.

Ta-da.

Hello.

Hi, everyone.

Look at all this breakfast.

Oh, I am so hungry.

I love breakfast.

What are we making?

I wasn't sure.

I just thought I'd ask you to see what you felt like.

Ooh.

Oh.

There's muesli, oats.

We could make porridge.

There's some delicious fruit and bread.

We could make some toast and some honey and jam.

Oh, and eggs and bacon.

I want it all!

Well, you can't have all of it, Possum.

But I do know that if I picked just the one food, you'd eat all that and want more and I can't give you all of them.

We need to pick two or

Which would you like?

Hmm.

This. Uh, I want that.

Possum, what are you doing?

I don't know.

I just can't decide.

Mmm.

Oh, I do have an idea.

Why don't you gather all of the food up, carry it over to the door, stand there, look at the plate and throw the food onto the plate?

If it misses the plate, then you don't eat it, but if it lands on the plate, you eat it.

Great idea!

I was just teasing you, Possum.

You are funny, Sally.

I thought that was a really good idea.

Hmm.

I have another good idea.

Why don't I get some pieces of paper, write the names of the food on them.

I'll make them into paper planes.

Then I can stand at the door, keep throwing the planes at the plate and once it lands on the plate,

I can eat it.

No, no, no.

You can't do that, Possum.

I was joking, too, Sally.

You are a funny little possum, but you have given me an idea when you talked about writing things down on a piece of paper.

For example, when people go out to a restaurant to eat, they get a thing called a menu, and that's got the names of the foods and sometimes with pictures on them, too, and they can choose what they want to eat.

Ah.

I've got an idea.

Why don't we make a menu?

I could draw the pictures and you could put the names on them.

Yes, let's do that.

I'll get the paper.

Can you get the crayons?

Oh, yeah.

Sally, can you write "menu" on the top?

Sure.

Sally, can you write the names on all of them, please?

Sure.

Great.

Uh, Possum?

That looks like pizza.

It is, Sally.

Possum, you can't eat pizza for breakfast.

I know.

I thought I'd just put it there.

But I'll pick something else.

Oh, Possum, you are funny.

Great.

Finished.

What should we choose?

Possum, you need to make a decision quickly.

If you take too long, before we know it, it will be lunchtime.

Huh.

I have an idea, Sally.

You need to go outside.

Don't come in till I've opened the door.

What?

Quick, quick.

Wait there.

Hmm?

Well, hello.

Welcome to Sally's Cafe.

Ooh!

Come on in.

Oh.

I shall be your chef for today.

Would you like to have a look at the menu?

Why, thank you, Chef Possum.

Have a look at this.

It's muesli mixed with fresh fruit.

Mmm.

It is delicious.

And may I recommend the bacon and eggs?

Ooh, yum-yum-yum.

And where are the eggs from?

Sally went to the farm and brought back some free-range eggs.

Oh, good.

And may I suggest the pancakes?

They are delicious and fluffy.

Hmm.

Oh, Possum, could I have a boiled egg?

Ah.

We are fresh out of boiled eggs.

Oh.

Uh, can I have some oats, please?

Ah, sorry.

We've run out as well.

Hmm.

Why don't you have a look at the pancakes?

Oh, would you like pancakes?

Yes!

Sally, I'm not a real chef, so you'll have to do the cooking for me.

Oh, hmm.

I must say, it is a lovely drawing of the pancakes.

It has made me think that I've not had pancakes for a very long time.

I think I'd like to have them, too.

Hmm.

But Sally, if I pick pancakes, will I have to eat them every day from now on?

No, Possum.

If you pick pancakes, you could just eat them today.

You can eat different foods over the next few days.

It depends on what you feel like eating for that day.

Oh.

Today, I want pancakes.

Oh, I do like being able to make a decision.

Yes, that's right, Possum.

You are now learning how to choose!

Yeah!

It's a lovely day outside.

Why don't we make our pancakes and go eat them out there?

Oh, yeah!

But before we do that, why don't we watch children making choices?

Let's watch.

Yeah, let's watch.

I'm making a menu of all my favourite sports.

Hmm.

What's first?

I know – soccer.

Hmm.

Cricket.

Hmm.

I know – hopscotch.

Hmm. Football.

Hmm.

I love running.

Hmm, hmm.

Tennis.

All done.

Sally, quick! Come here.

Look.

Wow, Possum. You have been very busy, haven't you?

I've made a menu, and that's to help me choose which sport I'd like to play.

That's lovely.

Great job.

But now, breakfast is ready.

Let's go.

Yeah.

Mm-mm!

Mmm.

Look at all the different toppings we've got.

You need to choose which one you'd like to have on your pancakes.

We have honey, maple syrup…

Oh, oh!

Uh, Possum, where are you going?

To make another menu to help me choose which topping I'll have.

Well, I knew you'd want to make another menu of all the toppings that we could put on there, so I've already made one for you.

Have a look.

Look!

Now you need to carefully choose which one you'd like.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye!

Bye.

Right. Which one?

Episode 13

When Sally tells Possum a story about a king and his castle, you can be sure that he will want his own castle. Sally has lots of cardboard boxes ready to be recycled. Wait and see how well Possum uses those boxes.

Video transcript

Hello!

Look!

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Hi, everyone.

I'm telling Possum a story.

Hi, everyone.

Could you just wait?

Sally is telling me a wonderful story about a king and his storyteller.

He tells wonderful stories and it's so interesting.

Could you just wait?

"Thank you, storyteller," said the king.

"This is a wonderful story.

"Your stories teach me good lessons.

"I will be a better king because of what I've learned from your story."

"I would like you to come and live with me in the castle "and tell me more of these wonderful stories."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," said the storyteller to the king.

"Your castle is a great place and I would be glad to come and tell you more stories, but I would rather live in my own little cottage, where I can tell stories to my family too."

"That is a wise choice," said the king.

"Go back to your family, but please visit me in my castle when you think I should hear another story."

So, the storyteller went home to his little cottage, but from time to time, he would visit the king in his castle to tell his stories.

The end.

Yay!

That was excellent.

Wow.

Oh, I really liked that story.

It was so good and so interesting and I loved the storyteller the most.

He was a very nice man, but that king, he was a bit mean, but then he became very kind.

What a great story.

Sally, that king lived in a castle.

What's a castle like?

Is it big?

Bigger than my tree?

Oh, yes, Possum.

Your tree is big, but a castle is bigger.

It's a very big building.

And when you go in, there are lots of rooms everywhere, and they are not small rooms, they're big rooms with plenty of space.

Oh.

Sally, what if I go on top of my tree and I could be king?

Yes, you could, Possum.

I want to make a castle but how do I make one?

What do I use?

Hmm.

Let me think.

I have an idea.

In the house, I have some boxes.

I was planning to recycle them because they're empty, but you could use them.

Yeah?

And I know at Amanda's place, she has plenty of cardboard boxes.

I'll ask her to bring them and I've got some in my tree too.

Oh, that's great.

Well, I'm going to go inside and make a snack for when Amanda comes.

Why don't you get the boxes together and start assembling them?

Yeah, that's great.

Sally, can you teach me the right way to assemble them to make sure it's straight?

Yes, I can, Possum.

Why don't we go inside and I can show you how to do it, OK?

Yeah, let's go!

Ooh.

That one, that one.

That one.

Ready?

Right.

OK, the blocks are all lying flat at the moment.

What don't you try stacking them?

OK.

There.

You've got three there.

See if you can stack some more on top.

It wasn't very tall.

That's right, it wasn't a very big stack, was it?

It needs to be straight.

Hang on.

This will help you.

Ah, I know how to use it.

No.

I'm just joking.

Do you know what to do?

Yep.

Right.

That one.

That there.

Yellow.

Red.

That is nice and straight.

Blue.

Um… That one.

Red.

Blue, Red.

Yellow, Blue.

Yellow.

Oh, that's very good.

You see, with the square, it's made it nice and straight and you can stack lots of blocks.

Right.

I'm going to go outside and make my castle with those cardboard boxes.

Oh, but before you do Possum, why don't we watch some children making sandcastles?

Oh, yeah, let's watch!

That looked like a lot of fun.

Yeah, they were really enjoying themselves.

Sally, I'm going to get these boxes and go outside and play, ok?

Oh, look Possum, Amanda is here.

Hello.

Hello.

Come on in.

Hello.

How are you?

Good to see you.

Amanda, did you bring those boxes?

Yes, I did.

I've left them outside in the yard.

Great.

I'm going to take them and play outside.

Oh, before you go Possum, I'm going to make some food and when we're done, Amanda and I will come down and check on you, ok?

OK.

Bye!

I wonder what he's going to make.

Ooh.

Right.

Hmm.

That one there.

That one on top.

This one there.

Hmm.

There's not enough.

I want a big castle.

A really, really, really big one, with a big drawbridge at the front, and I will be king of that castle.

Ah, I know, I'm going to go into my tree and get some really big boxes and bring them out.

Ooh, that's a big one.

They smell lovely.

Yes, they look good.

I need more!

More pouring.

More!

It's perfect!

Yep.

I know.

Hold on.

Yeah.

Ooh.

Hello!

Wow Possum, this looks great.

You've built a brilliant castle.

Yep, and I'm king of this castle.

You are the king of all the castle builders, Possum and I've got some food ready for you.

Let's go inside.

No, no, Sally.

You come in here.

I have seats for both of you.

Come on!

Ooh!

Oh, I like it.

You've done a good job.

Look at the stack.

I made this stack of pikelets.

Sally, what are pikelets?

Well, pikelets are just like little pancakes and they're a bit thicker too.

And now I've made a stack.

Amanda, do you have that square?

Yes, I do.

Why do you need it, Possum?

Well, I need to make sure the stack is perfectly straight.

Oh.

Oh, Possum.

It's perfect!

I must say, Possum, your castle is brilliant and Sally, you are brilliant at making a pikelet stack.

That's right, and it's perfectly straight too.

Thank you.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching!

See you next time!

Bye!

Bye!

Bye!

Right!

Let's eat these pikelets!

Ooh, thank you.

Oh, thanks.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

Jam?

Episode 14

Oh, no! Would you leave Possum in charge of the house? Will Possum understand all the instructions? Is everything going to be fine when Sally gets home?

Video transcript

Hello!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

Hm.

Wow!

Huh?

Look!

Ah!

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello!

Oh, hello, everyone!

I'm going away for the weekend and Possum is going to be in charge of the house.

I've explained to him everything that he'll need to do while I'm gone and he's made a list, but I'm not sure he completely understands that I'll be gone and he'll be here by himself.

Luckily, there's plenty of food in the fridge and there's plenty of vegetables in the garden.

Ah!

Possum's here.

Hi, Sally!

Hi, Possum!

Do you completely understand everything you need to do?

Yep.

If I forget, I'll come and ask you.

Um, Possum…

I'm going to be away.

You won't be able to ask me.

Huh?

I will be away for two days.

The whole weekend.

Saturday and Sunday and then I'll be coming home.

Two days?

Yes!

Well, hang on.

Saturday all day.

Sunday all day.

Both days?

Yes, and you are to be the boss of the house!

Me?

The boss?

Yes.

Ah.

Does that mean the garden and the tree?

I'll be the boss of them, too?

Yes, you will.

Ah.

I have an idea.

Why don't you go away and when it's time to cook, you can come back.

I'm actually going to be eating my meals while I'm away.

You'll be here by yourself, Possum but don't worry.

There's plenty of food in the fridge and there's plenty of vegetables in the garden.

You can go out and make a salad if you really want to, if you can't be bothered cooking and there's plenty of things to do around the house too.

Plenty of games you can play.

Alright.

Yeah.

I'm the boss.

Yeah.

Alright, then but don't forget to water the garden, because there hasn't been much rain in the last few weeks.

So please be careful with the water.

Don't waste too much of it, ok?

OK.

I'll see you in a few days.

OK.

Enjoy your time away!

Thank you, Possum.

Bye!

Bye!

Bye, Sally!

Bye!

Bye!

Ah.

Right.

Being in charge is easy.

Hm.

What should I do next?

I know!

Hm.

Sally's still away.

Hm.

I think it might be lunchtime.

I am feeling hungry and there's plenty of food in the fridge.

I'm going to make a sandwich.

Ooh.

Hang on.

Sally's given me a list of things to do.

Hm.

What were they?

I know, I need to water the garden, right?

First, I'll have a nap.

Hold on, I'll eat my sandwich, then have a nap.

I'm such a good planner.

Sally will be so happy that she left me in charge.

Yep, I'm the boss.

Huh?

Ooh!

I've been asleep.

Sally should be back now, I'll go have a look.

Huh?

She's still not here.

I must've slept for a whole day.

Sally said she'd be away for two days.

Right.

She told me the things I had to do.

What were they?

That's right.

Water the garden and do the dishes.

Hm.

Sally said I wasn't allowed to waste water.

She said something about the rain.

What was it?

I know.

I'll put the plates outside, and the rain can clean them.

That'll save water!

Ah.

Alright!

Hm.

Sally's still not here.

I know!

I'll play some soccer.

I'm going to have a nap.

It's the third day!

Sally should be back by now.

Nothing!

Hm, and Sally made a pie!

I'm going to eat it.

Right.

That was such a tasty snack and this is Sally's favourite basket.

Hm, Sally's really nice.

I love her red curls.

Hm.

Hm.

I think I might check on the garden.

Yeah.

Hm.

I…I have this feeling inside.

I feel a little sad.

Hm.

Ah.

Sally said she'd be gone for two days!

Look!

It's been too many days.

She still isn't back.

Hm, I wonder what this is.

Hm.

Hm.

Ah.

Sally!

Hello!

Ooh!

Ahh!

I haven't seen you in such a long time!

It wasn't that long Possum.

I've only been gone for two days.

Huh?

One…two…three…four… anyway.

Possum, as I was walking through the yard, I noticed some plates on the lawn.

What's going on?

Ah.

Well Sally, you told me I wasn't allowed to waste water.

So I thought, why not put the dirty dishes outside and let the rain clean them?

Hm…ok.

Sally, I'm not very good at being in charge.

I spent a lot of time thinking if you still remembered me or not.

Oh, of course I remember you Possum!

I did spend lots of time thinking about you, too.

Ah.

Sally, I was trying to think about your face and your smile and your curly hair.

I just couldn't feel happy!

Aw, Possum.

You were feeling lonely, because you were by yourself.

The person you like to be with wasn't there and you missed them.

That happens to other people, too.

Sally, I even tried to do the jigsaw puzzle but it just didn't look right.

There were cuts all through it.

Oh Possum, there's another photo that I have of the two of us.

Perhaps we can do something special with that.

Yeah!

Why don't we watch some children making some frames and maybe that will give us some ideas on what we can do.

Let's watch.

Yeah, let's watch!

Ah!

That looked great.

Did you see those frames?

Yeah!

Why don't we do the same thing?

Let's make some frames, too.

Ah yes, but Sally, you're going to be in charge and I'll help you.

Hm.

I know.

We need to clean up first and then we can make the frames.

OK.

Isn't that a lovely photo?

Let's make a frame for it.

There's some instructions in the drawer on how to make a frame.

Can you get them out, please?

OK.

Right. First, we need to get the black cardboard.

Can you get that for me?

Now this will make the frame.

But we need to cut the window out,

OK?

So, can you get the ruler?

Right.

And the pencil.

Got it!

And can you just mark some lines in here, please?

Me?

Which colour would you like?

Mm…the green one.

Right. We just need to cut them into strips.

About this size.

And then we'll cut them into pieces.

Just little squares.

And then we'll decorate the frame with them.

And we'll alternate the yellow and the green around it.

That's great!

Right! Now, we need to make the base to sit on the back.

There, like that. And then we can stand the picture up.

OK.

Oh, it's beautiful! And, Sally?

If I go away for the weekend, this will make sure that you don't get lonely.

Ah, yes, you're right, Possum.

I'll be able to look at it

and not feel lonely. Thank you.

Well, our time is up.

Thanks for watching!

See you next time.

Bye.

Bye!

Episode 15

Possum's obstacle run was great fun. Now he wants to make it again and Sally says he looked like a circus performer and suggests that he try something grander. When the guests arrive, will Possum be able to perform as the star of his own circus show?

Video transcript

Hello.

Huh?

Look.

Oh!

Hmm.

Wow.

Huh?

Look.

Ah.

I'm Sally.

And I'm Possum.

Hello.

Right.

No.

Ah.

Oh, hello, everyone.

I wonder what Possum is up to.

Right.

Hi, everyone.

Hi, Sally.

Hi, Possum.

It's such a beautiful day to be playing in the yard.

Yes, it really is a lovely day but what were you doing with your cricket bat, Possum?

Ah.

Do you remember, Sally, when you and I made the obstacle course?

Oh yes, I do.

Well, I remember I used my cricket bat for something.

We put it down somewhere but I can't remember if I went over it or under it.

Hmm.

Ah, that was a wonderful day.

You were like a circus star that day.

Hmm.

So, your cricket bat?

I remember you went over it and did you start at your tree?

Is that right?

Yeah.

I'll show you.

That's right.

That's how you started.

Yeah.

I remember that being such a good day.

You drew the directions and I put them in my tree house but now I can't find them.

Well, I am not surprised Possum.

In your tree house, you have got so many things.

It'd be in there somewhere but it doesn't matter, because I've got a really good idea, something really different and I think you'll love it.

Tell me.

What is it?

I think you could become a circus star.

Tell me more!

Well, a circus is full of very clever people doing wonderful tricks and everyone just sits and watches in awe.

Hey, why don't we watch some children going to the circus and seeing all the different tricks?

Shall we watch?

Yeah, let's watch!

Wow.

That was brilliant.

Sally, they look like they had so much fun and those kids learnt all those new tricks.

Yes, they did.

I want to do them, too.

Well Possum, why don't we make a list of all of the things you can do in your circus?

I'll go in and get a pen and some paper.

Yeah, that's great!

This says, "circus".

What should our first trick be?

Hmm.

I know.

I know you don't like me climbing in the branches and balancing in my tree.

No.

So, why don't I get some rope, put it on the ground, and pretend to walk the tightrope?

Yes, you could pretend to walk on it and to balance.

That's a good idea.

You go get it.

OK.

Hmm.

There it is.

OK.

Oh.

Ah.

Oh, oop.

Great!

Ah, that was great.

What shall we do next, Possum?

Hmm.

I know.

I was watching those children hopping through those hoops.

Oh, yes.

That did look good.

What hoops can we use?

What have we got?

Hmm.

Um, oh, I know!

Your go-kart.

We've got some tyres that were spare.

Can you go get those?

Ah, yeah.

There they are.

Hop-hop-hop.

Ah.

Right.

What's next?

Hmm.

Hmm.

Um… Oh!

I know.

I've got some cushions inside.

Why don't you grab those and you can jump on them?

Yeah, ok.

Aha-ha.

Oh, yeah.

Oh.

Jump, jump, jump.

Ha-ha!

Yes.

Oh.

Great.

Now, what's next?

Yeah, what's next?

Uh, let's think.

Oh, do you remember Amanda made those stilts?

We could use those.

Oh, yeah, we can.

Good.

Ha-ha-ha.

Up.

Ooh.

Ha-ha.

OK, what's next?

Well, the stilts are finished.

Um, let's think.

Oh, can you juggle Possum?

Sally, of course possums can juggle.

Up-up-up-up.

Yes.

Ha-ha.

Right.

Hmm, what's next?

Ooh.

Sally, I have a special surprise, but I'm not going to tell you.

Just put a question mark there.

OK.

Hmm.

I wonder what that is.

Anyway, this looks like a great routine to have and there are some people coming soon to watch you.

What?

Sally, why are they coming?

Well, because circuses always have an audience.

People come to sit and watch.

Oh, ok.

Hello.

Hello.

Hi.

Hello.

Yes, come on through.

Hello.

Hello.

That's it.

Wow.

Hello.

Lovely.

Please be seated.

OK.

Thank you.

Welcome to the circus.

Psst.

Sally, can I talk to you in private, please?

OK.

The circus will begin momentarily.

Please hold.

Quick.

Hmm.

Hmm.

Sally, I feel a bit funny.

Something is going on in my tummy.

I don't think I've practised enough.

What if I get it wrong and they laugh at me?

Oh Possum, what you're feeling is nervous.

Feeling nervous is normal.

Everybody feels nervous sometimes.

Don't worry about having to do it perfectly.

If you make a mistake, just keep going.

It doesn't matter.

Just go out and enjoy yourself, ok?

Yeah.

OK.

I feel I'm ready.

Can you go and announce me, please?

Alright.

Right.

Is everyone ready for a circus performance?

Yeah.

Mm-hm.

It is my pleasure to introduce the star of the circus, the most famous Possum.

Huh?

Hmm, hmm?

Mm-hmm.

Ha-ha-ha.

Ta-da!

Right.

Oh!

Whoa.

Wow.

Whoa.

Ha-ha!

Ta-da!

Oh, wow!

Hop-hop-hop.

Ta-da!

Yay!

Look at me.

Right.

Brrrup!

Jump, jump, jump.

Jump.

Ha-ha!

Ready?

Oop.

Amazing.

Wow.

Oh, yeah.

Whoo-hoo!

Oh.

Wow.

Ta-da!

Ooh.

Hup, hup, hup.

Ha-ha!

Oh!

Yeah.

Yay, and now for my final performance, I'm going to climb to the very top of my tree.

Oh.

Ha-ha-ha!

Hello.

Hi.

Hi.

Hi.

Hi.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you all.

Oh.

Ooh.

Ha-ha.

Ta-da!

Thank you.

Wow, thank you.

Oh wow, and thank you.

Wow.

Wow.

That was an amazing performance Possum.

You really are the star of the circus.

Ah, well.

Our time is up.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time.

Bye.

Bye.

Bye!

Quick, here.

Here, Amanda.

OK.

Jump.

Everyone jump.

Have a turn.

Oh, thank you.

Here, catch.

Jump.

Jump.

Yeah, got it.

Ha-ha-ha.

That's great.

Whoo-hoo!
