Organisations are invited to apply to establish and deliver early childhood coordination in the Whitsunday area (with a focus on Airlie-Whitsundays) and the Gladstone area (with a focus on Telina-Toolooa).
The initiative will provide practical assistance to support children and families experiencing vulnerability to successfully transition from home to early childhood settings and on to school.
The service will promote children's development, family and child wellbeing, and a sense of belonging as the child takes part in their community.
The following funding (GST exclusive) will be available to the successful service provider to establish and operate the new service:
- Recurrent funding to 30 June 2026—$155,000 per annum, per location, to provide early childhood coordination services to support successful transitions for children.
Information sessions will be held on 18 October at 10.00am and on 28 October at 1.30pm.
