The department is pleased to invite eligible organisations to submit applications for funding under the Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) funding category to establish and deliver new Early Years Places in Atherton and Roma.
The Early Years Places will provide integrated early childhood services through a combination of centre-based delivery and structured outreach, ensuring children and families can access a range of responsive and locally relevant early childhood supports.
Eligible organisations can apply for
one and/or both funding opportunities.
Atherton Early Years Place
The Atherton Early Years Place will be located in Atherton and will provide integrated early childhood services to children and families within the Atherton SA2 community, with a minimum of:
- weekly outreach to Herberton in the Herberton SA2
- monthly outreach to Dimbulah in the Tablelands SA2.
Roma Early Years Place
The Roma Early Years Place will be located in Roma and will provide integrated early childhood services to children and families in the Roma SA2, with a minimum of:
- monthly outreach to Injune, Surat, Mitchell and Wallumbilla in the Roma surrounds SA2.
Funding opportunities
Funding is available for the establishment and operation of the following Early Years Places:
- Roma Early Years Place—$300,000 per annum (GST exclusive) from 1 July 2027
- Atherton Early Years Place—$250,940 per annum (GST exclusive) from 1 July 2027
Eligible organisations are invited to consider the requirements of the service delivery models as outlined in the
funding information papers and demonstrate how they will establish and deliver an integrated, responsive and accessible Early Years Place, including the required structured outreach to surrounding communities.

Information sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams:
- Roma Early Years Place—Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 2pm and Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 2pm
- Atherton Early Years Place—Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 3pm and Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 3pm
Organisations are required to email the department at
